Refund & Cancellation Policy for iDrive.SG

1. Overview At iDrive.SG, we strive to provide a flexible and transparent experience for both renters and rental companies. Our platform allows rental companies to select their preferred refund and cancellation policies from a range of options, ensuring that their specific business needs are met. When booking a vehicle through iDrive.SG, renters agree to the specific refund and cancellation policy set by the rental company they choose.

2. Cancellation by Renters
Renters may coordinate directly with rental companies to modify bookings or arrange for a replacement. If a cancellation is necessary, the following terms apply:

  • A cancellation fee of 8% of the rental fee will be charged to cover non-refundable payment gateway costs and administrative expenses.
  • The 3% transaction fee on the deposit is non-refundable.

This policy ensures clarity and fairness while addressing the costs associated with processing cancellations.

3. Cancellation by Rental Companies
If a rental company initiates a cancellation and refund, the following terms apply:

  • Renters will receive a full refund of the rental fee and deposit if the cancellation occurs before the rental period begins.
  • Rental companies will not get a refund from iDrive for the 8% platform fee charged.
  • For cancellations during the rental period, refunds will be calculated on a prorated basis.
  • Refunds are automatically processed from the rental company’s wallet to the renter’s wallet.
  • If the rental company’s wallet has insufficient funds, they must top up their wallet by making an offline payment to iDrive.

This policy ensures renters are compensated fairly while holding rental companies accountable for their obligations.

3. Cancellation Policy Options Rental companies on iDrive.SG can choose from the following cancellation policy options:

  • Flexible:
    • Full refund if the booking is cancelled at least 24 hours before the rental start time.
    • No refund if cancelled less than 24 hours before the rental start time.
    • No refund if cancelled after the rental start time.
  • Moderate:
    • Full refund if the booking is cancelled at least 3 days before the rental start time.
    • No refund if cancelled less than 3 days before the rental start time.
    • No refund if cancelled after the rental start time.
  • Strict:
    • Full refund if the booking is cancelled at least 7 days before the rental start time.
    • No refund if cancelled less than 7 days before the rental start time.
    • No refund if cancelled after the rental start time.
  • Non-Refundable:
    • No refund available regardless of when the cancellation is made.

4. Refund Process

  • Initiating a Cancellation/Refund:
    • To initiate a refund, renters must submit a cancellation request through their iDrive.SG account. The refund will be processed according to the cancellation policy selected by the rental company.
  • Processing:
    • Once a refund is approved, the refunds will be automatically reflected in your wallet.
  • Withdrawal:
    • Refunds can be withdrawn using bank transfer or PayNow by going to your wallet to submit a withdrawal request.

5. No-Show Policy

  • If a renter fails to pick up the vehicle at the agreed time without prior notice or cancellation, no refund will be provided, regardless of the rental company’s selected cancellation policy.

6. Exceptions

  • In cases of extenuating circumstances, such as natural disasters or medical emergencies, renters may contact iDrive.SG’s customer support for assistance. We will work with the rental company to explore possible solutions, including partial or full refunds.

7. Disputes

  • Any disputes regarding refunds or cancellations should be directed to iDrive.SG’s customer support team. We will review each case individually and mediate between the renter and the rental company to reach a fair resolution.

8. Final Notes

  • The specific cancellation policy for each rental is clearly stated during the booking process. Renters are encouraged to review these terms carefully before confirming their booking.
  • iDrive.SG reserves the right to update or modify this policy at any time. Significant changes will be communicated to users via email or a notice on our platform.
