Vehicle Rental Agreement

Terms & Conditions

1. Use of Vehicle

• Vehicle shall be used strictly within the lawful limits of Singapore.
• Smoking, eating, or transporting illegal goods in the vehicle is strictly prohibited.
• Sub-renting is not allowed unless approved in writing by A&L Leasing Pte Ltd.

2. Vehicle Condition

• Hirer acknowledges receipt of the vehicle in good condition and agrees to return it in the same condition, save for normal wear and tear.
• Any damage to the interior or exterior not previously documented will be the hirer’s responsibility.

3. Servicing & Maintenance

• The hirer agrees to notify A&L Leasing if the vehicle requires servicing.
• Only approved workshops provided by A&L Leasing may be used for servicing.
• Routine maintenance is managed by A&L Leasing unless otherwise stated.

4. Fuel Policy

• Vehicle is to be returned with the same level of fuel as provided at the start of the rental.
• Fuel discrepancies may result in deductions from the deposit.

5. Insurance & Accident Policy

All vehicles are covered under comprehensive motor insurance.

The hirer shall:

• Be liable for the insurance excess amount in the event of any accident (amount varies based on vehicle and usage type).
• Immediately report any accident to A&L Leasing and the relevant authorities.
• Not admit liability or negotiate with any third party on behalf of A&L Leasing.
• Only authorised drivers listed in this agreement are permitted to operate the vehicle. Any violation may void insurance coverage and result in full liability.

Insurance does not cover:

• Damage caused while driving under the influence
• Unauthorized driver usage
• Off-road driving or reckless use

6. Traffic Offences & ERP Charges

• All traffic, parking fines, ERP tolls, and charges incurred during the rental period will be the hirer’s responsibility.

7. Breakdown & Towing

• The hirer must immediately notify A&L Leasing in case of mechanical failure or accident.
• Towing assistance may be provided subject to the company’s discretion and policy.

8. Late Returns & Renewal

• Hirers are advised to notify the company in advance if an extension is required.
• Late returns without notice may incur additional charges and administrative action.

9. Deposit & Deductions

Deposit may be used to cover:

• Repairs for damages not covered under insurance
• Outstanding rental balances
• Cleaning, fuel top-up, traffic fines, or penalties
• Remaining deposit will be refunded within 7 working days after vehicle return and inspection.

10. Termination & Replacement

• A&L Leasing reserves the right to terminate the agreement at any time with valid reason or breach of terms by the hirer.
• A replacement vehicle may be provided subject to availability and management approval.

Insurance Excess
Aged above 26 and > 2 years driving experience: $3,000
Aged below 26 and < 2 years driving experience: $6,000
